About The Ultimate Timing Challenge

Develop great timing on any instrument. Download Play along
Ability to read music is not required to use this product.

This is what every musician needs. The ultimate aim for every musician should be to develop 100% rock solid dependable timing. All the technique in the world, all the speed, all the fancy licks and fills don-t mean anything if you cannot play them in time.

Don-t worry though. Timing, like any aspect of your playing, can be practiced and improved. Practicing with a metronome is essential to develop this aspect of your playing and I highly recommend that you do this.

So what is this product about and why buy it-
This play along download is just a lot more sophisticated than playing along to the monotonous, boring click of a metronome. The play along tracks consist of drum beats with percussion accompaniment. The tracks will help you to develop your sense timing and also your sense of phrasing, an essential element for every musician. Ability to read music is not required to use this product.

In Part One - The Groove Zone, tracks 1-5, you will hear drum beats with percussion accompaniment at various tempos. On some tracks, the beats will cease (depending on the track you're using) after 4, 8 or 16 bars and only the percussion will play on. This will develop not only your timing, but also your sense of phrasing.

In Part Two - The Ultimate Timing Challenge, tracks 6-8, you will hear 2, 4 or 8 bars drum beats with percussion accompaniment followed by (depending on the track you're using) 2, 4 or 8 bars total silence. This silence will remain perfectly in time where you can continue playing or simply stop. The Ultimate Timing Challenge is to see if you can come back in time when the drum/percussion track resumes playing. You may get this spectacularly wrong at first, especially in the 4 and 8 bar gaps, however as you practice this more, you will see your timing dramatically improve!

The Ultimate Timing Challenge is great for teachers and students alike. We will send you a link to download the high quality MP3 tracks. You can then save the tracks to your computer. The copyright allows you to burn a CD and/or upload the audio tracks to your ipod or MP3 player.
